Steve, Andy Leonard and I were instructors on day one of anti-hijack training course at the aerodrome
Andy and I were completing the oversteer/understeer excercise with our respective students.
Steve was supervising, sat on the back step of the coach, coffee in one hand fag in the other, a pose in which he was highly skilled.
I was helping my students change wheels on my car.
All of a sudden I heard Steve spout some well known exspletives and put his head in his hands.
I looked up to see one of Andy’s students, with massive amounts of understeer, take him careering through one of the fences alongside the runway
Brilliant times, never to be forgotten.
